The secular population primarily supports commercial medical treatment after onset or with establishment of advanced disease. Christians should view health in a far more preventive manner.
Even good Christians don’t agree on this subjects at all times. As such, there are many elements of western medicine that some Christians will not wish to support (e.g., birth control related). However, given the espoused Christian respect for life, we should not only respect it around the time of conception, birth and death, rather we should also support good diets, avoidance of alcohol consumption, avoidance of voluminous sugar consumption, increased water consumption, maintaining good weight and many related factors as you “respect your temple”.
