Many are more willing to accept the encouragement of motivational speakers, as well as priests and ministers who do not share the message of unparalleled blessings that God has provided to His children. In Joshua 24:13, He reminds you that His blessings are not on the way, and not pending. Rather, He states: “I have given you a land (a region/country) for which you did not labor, and cities which you did not build, and you dwell in them (homes). You eat of the vineyards and olive groves (food and beverage) which you did not plant.” You may have used money in the acquisition, but you did not create anything.
God’s blessings for His children are fruits of unmerited favor, those things which most men and women are particularly unaccustomed to receiving, and loathe to understand. God did not say, “I may (suggesting the possibility of may not), or will (suggesting some unpredictable time in the future) give…” Nor is God’s statement coupled with the statement “if you pray, are sinless, tithe, or do specific things, then I will give to you”… You are not asked to “earn” or “pay for” the fruits of yous blessings. Rather, He said, “I have given” which means that it has already happened.
